GSO ِannounces its training plan 2020
The GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) announced its training plan 2020 in the field of standards, Metrology, conformity, and various activities related to standardization.
His Excellency Mr. Saud bin Nasser Al-Khusaibi, GSO President, explained that this plan comes as a strategic objective to build capacity of GSO Member States and various stakeholders in the field of standardization to meet the requirements of professional work and raise the awareness of the importance of standardization and its various related activities.
Mr. Alkhusaibi added that the GSO training plan has fifteen programs to be organized in cooperation with Member States. He pointed out that the list of programs and courses includes sustainable energy applications, comparison of Gulf standard with the corresponding standards, concrete building code requirements, plastic standards, data analysis and practical application to standardization data, as well as the mechanism of work in developing international standards (ISO / IEC ), As well as calibrating smart meters, in addition to the leadership skills of Chairs and secretaries of GSO technical committees. The list also includes the effectiveness of refrigeration and air conditioning standards, technical requirements for conformity assessment, cosmetic safety assessment, the shelf- life of food products and the label of prepacked food items, as well as GSO conformance procedures for motorcycles, in addition to Standards for medical devices and supplies.
