Meetings of the Gulf Cooperation Groups for the Notified Bodies

The meetings of the Gulf Cooperation Groups for the Notified Bodies, organized by the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) began yesterday Sunday, during May 21-25, 2023. at the Intercontinental Hotel, Riyadh.

Yesterday, the sixth meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Group of the Notified Bodies for the Gulf technical regulation for low-voltage electrical appliances and equipment was held.

The Group discussed the developments of the Gulf conformity certification system and future directions to enhance the safety of low-voltage electrical products in the Gulf markets.

The meeting was attended by 200 experts and specialists, with the aim of working on updating and harmonizing conformity assessment procedures for the Gulf conformity mark to enhance product safety in the GCC common market.

The sixth meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Group of the Notified Bodies for the Gulf Technical Regulation for Children Toys is due to start tomorrow Tuesday and will continue for the period May 23-24, 2023. This meeting will be followed by the second meeting of the Cooperation Group of the Notified Bodies for energy efficiency regulations on May 25, 2023.
