GSO organizes a training program on the role of standardization in support small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
The Standardization Organization for the Arab States of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GSO) organized a training program on “Standardization and its role in supporting small and medium enterprises” during the period 23th-25th January 2017 in Riyadh.
The aim of the program is to introduce the standardization system, its concepts and importance in supporting and developing small and medium enterprises in member countries, and to encourage active participation in standardization activities and the application of standards and certificates to promote external export and external competition. The program also aims at clarifying elements of quality infrastructure and its role in strengthening the role of small and medium enterprises, and methods of effective participation in the standardization process to ensure that small and medium-sized companies to the maximum benefit.
This program comes within the GSO’s role and responsibility to contribute to the development of specialists in member countries to meet the requirements of professional work and to raise awareness of the importance of standardization and associated activities in cooperation with national standardization bodies and related parties in Member States.
