GSO Technical Council helds its 41st meeting in Al-Medina

The (41) meeting of the GSO Technical Council which is composed of the heads of standardization bodies of the member countries will be held in Madinah for two days.

The meeting will discuss a number of important topics related to the activities of the GSO and will focus on developments related to the implementation of the GSO strategic plan (2016-2020).

The outputs of GSO’s activities contributes to enhancing the rules and bases of the GCC common market by removing the technical barriers of trade exchange, supporting the commercial and industrial sectors and protecting the consumer in the region from counterfeit goods, counterfeit products and non-conforming materials.

It should be noted that the GSO member countries are the six GCC countries as well as the Republic of Yemen, which joined in January 2010.
