H.E. Mr. Saud Al-Khusaibi as Secretary-General of GCC Standardization Organization (GSO)
His Excellency Mr. Saud bin Nasser Al Khusaibi started his new duties as Secretary General of GCC Standardization Organization(GSO) by virtue of the decision of His Excellency the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdul Latif Al Zayani No. 6/92 dated 12/4/2018, appointing him as Secretary General of GCC Standardization Organization(GSO) as of April 28, 2018, as a successor to H.E. Mr. Nabil bin Amin Mulla (April 2012 – April 2018).
His Excellency Mr. Saud Al-Khusaibi holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Hill in the United Kingdom and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Cardiff University in the UK.
The Director of the Industrial Planning and Studies Department and the Director General of the General Directorate of Standardization and Metrology at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He was then a member of the Technical Council of the GCC Standardization Organization(GSO). He was appointed on November 02, 2014 as Director General of the General Directorate of Organizations and Commercial Relations in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and continued in this position until the decision of his appointment as Secretary General of the Standardization Organization.
His Excellency participated in many international forums and events specialized in standardization matters such as (ISO, CODEX, IEC) and others.
It is hope that His Excellency Mr. Saud bin Nasser Al Khusaibi, through his long experience in the field of standardization, will contribute to the success of the Commission during the period of the previous trustees, in addition to continuing to promote the joint GCC work process, achieve the infrastructure of standardization and quality in member countries, In order to achieve the aspirations and objectives.
