This part of ISO 81714 specifies basic rules for the design of graphical symbols for use in the technical documentation of products, taking into account basic application needs. NOTE Supplementary requirements for graphical symbols used in advanced computer-aided design systems are specified in IEC 81714-2 and IEC 81714-3.
