International & GCC Standards and Technical Regulations related to healthy food
Course Objectives:
The objective of this training session is to provide the Members of the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) and participants with an overview on global and regional nutrition policies and public health recommendations with a focus on the nutrition strategies, regulations and voluntary measures developed by GCC countries to encourage healthy lifestyles, raise consumer awareness and increase the availability of healthy food products on the markets. A case study will provide examples of successful models of public - partnerships that were implemented for health promotion and disease prevention such as the EU platform for action on diet, physical activity and health.
